Katie Olson

Katie Olson, MPH is an experienced Grants Manager and public health professional with a strong background in government administration and nonprofit development. Currently serving at Trinity Health Grand Rapids, Katie leads the research, development, and stewardship of funding proposals that support critical healthcare initiatives across Kent County.

Katie has built a career deeply rooted in addressing substance use and public health challenges. She has led evaluation efforts for federally funded initiatives, including the CDC’s Prescription Drug Overdose Prevention for States grant,  in Colorado. At Ideal Option, she managed development efforts for evidence-based treatment programs, collaborating with partners to secure funding and expand access to care for individuals with substance use disorders. 

Katie holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Grand Valley State University, where she was president of the Public Health Society. She remains committed to advancing public health through strategic funding, data-informed decision-making, and community-centered solutions.
