Carolyn serves on the board in honor of her best friend, Meghan, who lost her battle with addiction. From infancy through their twenties, Meghan was one of the brightest lights and closest companions in Carolyn’s life. Her passing transformed Carolyn’s purpose and ignited a lasting commitment to ensuring others do not have to endure the same loss. Carolyn believes addiction is an insidious, pervasive disease that impacts not only the individual, but families and entire communities, and that no one is immune.

Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Juvenile Justice, providing her with insight into the complexities of addiction and recovery. She works closely with women in sobriety today, supporting them on their journey to long-term recovery. In her board role, she supports the organization in strategic decision-making to strengthen programs and initiatives. Carolyn is committed to ensuring that individuals impacted by addiction are recognized for their inherent value, dignity and worth, and to affirming that healing, recovery and a life of freedom are possible. She is devoted to ensuring that Meghan’s life, light and legacy continue to bring hope and healing to others.
